Back on September 8, 2021, I worked on a piece inspired by Zélie Adebola, the fierce and determined protagonist of Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. Zélie is a warrior, a rebel, and a beacon of hope in a world where magic has been stolen. Her journey—filled with courage, loss, and resilience—deeply resonated with me, inspiring me to bring her to life through art.
Fast forward to today, I decided to redraw that piece, applying everything I’ve learned in my digital art journey. This comparison reflects how much I’ve grown as an artist, from refining anatomy to improving rendering techniques.
